Public speaking can be nerve-racking. Want to improve your presentation skills?
Utilising presentations and public speaking as part of a marketing strategy can be immensely powerful in capturing audience attention, conveying brand messages effectively, and building credibility.
Paul Denn - Director
Cultivating confidence and calm when speaking to an audience is important for students and teachers alike. Public speaking ability can make the difference between a successful presentation and a throwaway, with only a few adjustments needed to tip the scale.
For a business, key personnel who can present the company in a positive, insightful, and informative way whilst enhancing the reputation of the product or service they are presenting, is a key weapon in the modern-day marketing armory.
A powerful presentation invites the audience to be part of a movement. It is the moment to touch people and mobilise them into action — to fight for a cause, to buy a product that makes their lives better or to fund the project you have worked so hard to build.
The most successful and memorable presentations have one thing in common.
They all have a story to tell.
No matter how many facts or charts need to be presented, incorporating stories into a presentation will keep your audience focused and intrigued. Using stories to support data is a well-known technique in all aspects of public speaking, from motivational talks to in-company sales pitches.
With a collection of seasoned presenters under our wings, I can train and educate any media, marketing, or sales professional to be able to walk the walk as well as talk the talk. I can also help design and build presentation slides that are ready-made to promote your services to a face-to-face or online audience.
It is widely agreed that there are 5 types of presentations that businesses need to master as part of a marketing strategy. These are Informative, Instructional, Arousing, Persuasive and Decision-Making.
Know what you want your audience to do immediately after hearing your speech
A personal story, a quote from an expert or a shocking statistic – something that takes a hold of your audience and gets them hooked
Grab, middle, close. Know your material and get really interested in the topic.
Rehearse out loud with all equipment you plan on using. Work to control filler words; Practice, pause and breathe.
Try to speak to one or two people in the audience as they arrive – they will be your allies in the audience
Look like the content matters to you – if the audience don’t feel that it is important to you, it will be really hard for them to feel that it should be important for them.

It is clear that many businesses struggle with the motivation of staff. The impact of external issues can have a devastating effect on the performance of an employee, meaning the negative attitude is felt throughout a team in a business and damages morale as well as profits.
HR teams have for decades, tried to offer an internal and harmonious balance of care and healthy well-being structure to bridge gaps in performance and stick to a balance of care and work ethics.
Sometimes, however, a simple motivational speech that is part of a presentation exercise to reward and empower staff can have the immediate and long-term effect that many businesses crave.
My method of bringing energy, fun, companionship, and a serious tone of voice to a company presentation to enlighten and motivate a company audience, is well-traveled and received.
By opening up the company to listen to its staff and to be recognized and appreciated, is a strong way to reward and motivate without long-term disruption. Let me decide what your business needs to get back on track and deliver results with a presentation strategy that works.
